Restoration 120- Early Days

Updated: Sep 7, 2022

We began our work oh so long ago 'in the construction business.' Dennis used to sell remodeling jobs after I gathered his good leads in a local neighborhood! He was a contractor.

We saw how God used us as a team to invest in restorations. I can't even begin to tell you how dirty some fire jobs were. Dennis would come home covered in soot from head to toe! What a privilege and higher calling it was to share the good news gospel and see an even more elaborate restoration in someone's life. After telling them the simplicity of the gospel to recover their life and family from self-destruction and bondage to sin.

Now the truth is that God has undertaken a special restoration project, and that is you. The transformation is an inside job. I say that because it's an inside-out metamorphosis.

Our life message revolves around the verse, as the Lord spoke to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly, I will rather boast that in my weakness, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

And IT DOES!

Grace is not attracted to your strength; it is attracted to your weakness. In the Old Testament, there is a precedent of a thief having to repay when stealing from his neighbor.

"The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways." Deuteronomy 28:7

One verse says, "the law required a person had to restore to the victim the full amount what he had stolen plus an additional 20%".

That's 120% restoration.

So if a person had stolen 5 of your livestock, he had to restore 6. God restores in different ways-in quantity and quality. Because of Jesus's finished work, we can receive 120% restoration.

Isaiah 42 refers to "No one says restore."

I asked the Lord, "Why does- 'no one say restore'?" He said, "because they don't believe that I will."

God is restoring to us if we trust Him to do it. If you don't believe and expect it- you may not recognize what He's doing. So believe and expect restoration today.
